The new entrant in the V Series from Bajaj is primarily a smaller version of V15 that weighs slightly less than its elder sibling at 133kg (kerb weight). It derives power from the downsized version of 149cc engine used in V15. Transmission duties are taken care of by the conventional five-speed manual unit.
Built from the metal sourced from INS Vikrant aircraft carrier, Bajaj’s new V12 commuter bike is synonymous with strength and ruggedness.
It borrows most of the features from the elder sibling V15 save for some equipment such as the new 5-spoke alloy wheels and drum brakes in place of 240mm disc units. Even the tyres are slimmer measuring 100/90 instead of 120/90 offered with the V15. Other than the aforementioned features, the bike also gets similar instrument cluster, body graphics, chrome-tipped matte black exhaust pipe, foot pegs, saree guard, grab rail and removable cowl at rear.
